New Host

Post by Chamberlain »

This thread discusses the content article: New Host

Thanks Norb, great job on this move to another DataBase, much faster !!

Now you fly through the Threads instead of crawling like in the old days on dial-up.

The best part is, this leaves more time for playing this awesome game !!!!

:silly: :woohoo:

Perhaps Scottie has enhanced his Warp drive.

Well .... I made good progress on her Honey Do list. I needed a break after so many years of you guys (SMG, SMSM, SMA,SMG2,WNLB, ANGV, CWBR, TC2M, mod after mod after mod) so I have been spending my limited gaming time primarily with the Company of Heroes series. I found blowing things up, especially with battlelines of tanks, cathartic but quite mind numbing. Then .... for some unknown reason, I decided to check in here last Saturday – SURPRISE!! Kahuna Norb’s magnet is inextricably pulling me back in. :woohoo:

From playing around with the tutorials so far, the game looks wonderful. However, my micro-management style is starting to raise questions like: how have rifle calibres been factored in (if any); how much ammo has to be expended before the wagon will top up canister shot; does limbered arty have to be completely out of enemy’s LOS before all fatigue dissipates; etc., etc., etc. ???? At some point I’ll start researching the forum for answers to my nit picking questions.

See Chamberlain ...... I am quite fine - thank you.

Being absent Chamberalin, I lost track of Sarge. On one of my lurking runs I did pick up on something about his major life changes. I trust all's well with him - he's a great contributor and oh so fearsome on the battlefield. I must say however, I always wondered a bit about exactly how he managed those scores. ;)

Hey DrMike1997, great to see your enthusiasm is still sky-high. Seeing a number of familiar old names around here, perhaps we need a Homecoming thread rather than thread high-jacking.
