Question - unit experience

Post by IronBMike »

I didn't see anything about this in the manual, but is there any way to view at a glance what a unit's experience is without opening the OOB?

I was wondering that myself. Kind of frusturating. If not hopefully that feature can be added in the future.

The OOB screen is the only way.

Hopefully that will change, or be moddable, though moddable doesn't seem likely without something annoying like putting experience level on the "portrait" and making custom oobs.

It's nice to be able to see the experience in game, otherwise all the units seem to be all the same.

I agree and I know that I proposed a way to do this, but coming up with an idea is a lot simpler than making it happen. So I must assume that we did not have time or it just was not feasible for this release. It could be the fact that we completely revamped the toolbar in the middle of the dev cycle :)

Yeah, I have to say I do miss the old interface... I know it was larger, but I felt it was a lot clearer and more concise:(

Completely understandable. I had a couple of things that I wanted for this toolbar, more buttons was one and also take up less real estate. We have another toolbar that maybe we'll release as a mod. It's a lot prettier, but takes up a lot of space. But some people like that.
