no more spinning top regiments?

Post by DrMike1997 »

Hey guys. I downloaded and installed the new patch and fired up the hail of lead and steel scenario as a test. When attempting to play this scenario before I noticed lots of Rebel units stuck between targets ( I guess because of the odd angles of the different forces). It was very annoying and I thought it might make a good test of the fix in the patch. I am happy to report that I did not see one regiment doing the spinning between target thing! This alone made the price of the patch worth it

I've rewritten this logic so many times, but I finally figured out what I had done wrong in my approach. It's not perfect, but it's a heck of a lot better.

Yeah I seem to remember the first fix for this problem coming up in the first Bush term!

When I wrote this for sowgb, I really thought that I had it licked. New approach, new code, but no luck. Same mistakes. But the light bulb went on and I figured out what was wrong with all my old approaches.
