General of the Armies (Old System)
General of the Armies (Old System)
Beat the game on Grog. You will be rewarded, which has yet to be fully determined, but will include free activation codes.
PLEASE be patient when you send in your scores! We get some VERY demanding emails asking why we didn't drop everything else we were doing and posted their scores right away. This is something low on our priority list. If there is a bug or crash we're working on, that comes first. But do do save all the highscore emails and will get to them.

I guess that leaves me out then. What would be the time limit 5 years? The direction I'm going, it may take me that long.

What does grognard even mean? Forgive my ignorance.

Highest difficulty. Check-out your Option page, after you fire the game up, a PITB!What does grognard even mean? Forgive my ignorance.

That the highest level of difficulty. It's a set of options that has been determined to be very very hard. If you win, you deserve a great reward. I honestly never expect to have to pay this up.

Outside of gaming, it means the "grumblers" in French referring to the old regulars (old guard) of Napoleon's army. But, the "grumblers" fits in gaming too. Who else whines more about nit-picky crap than a bunch of old veteran gamers?

Sorry. I suffer from a serious case of typosis. Don't worry, it's not contagious

Thanks... I guessed it had something to do with high difficulty level, but had no clue where the name came from. Cool deal.Colonel Dreux wrote:What does grognard even mean? Forgive my ignorance.

Re:General of the Armies
In all seriousness, I just beat my first scenario, Blood in the Run, on grognard. The problem is, my final score, 3505, was lower than the score with which I beat the scenario on normal difficulty, 4615. So, say the same thing happens with all teh other scenarios (and that seems likely, as I doubt many folks will outscore their normal scores when playing on grog level), how can you tell? The high scores screen only shows the highest score and on what difficulty level you achieved that score, not the highest score on each particular difficulty level.
