SOWGB SDK v1.0

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Scourge of War - Gettysburg SDK v1.00

Readme.txt
Norb Software Development, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the "NorbSoftDev")
5/06/2010

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This SDK is provided as is, play at your own risk.

The manual provided is a work in progress. If we were to complete it before release, we would not be able to release the SDK at this point.

There is lots of documentation in the files themselves, so if you need help, take a look there, ask on the forums

INSTALLATION:

Unzip this file into the "Scourge of War - Gettysburg/Work" folder.

That will create a path of "Scourge of War - Gettysburg/Work/SDK" to the SDK.

Still to do:

Finish the manual

Provide a pack tool that will compress the mods into a single file.

Keep this updated with our changes as we release our patches.

Norb,

Please advise the file size.

Downloads using the derelict communication and power supply systems in Zimbabwe have to be very carefully planned.

I had one hell of a job keeping everything stable enough for long enough to download the original game and the patches.

Thanks.

This should be a sticky...

Too late to upload and post, almost 2 AM here in the Ouachitas, I'll make my Bugles and Flags mod available this weekend...those DRF will be reddening your battlefields, if you please.

Thanks

I have it. I had imagined it much bigger.

I think your suspicions are going to be proved right Gshock.

Boston in an earlier thread was wondering why the chatter slowed to a trickle, good timing.

Well, I must let my computer ignorance show and ask the following:

Successfully downloaded SDK and followed Little Powell's directions. Went into Work/SDK/Scenarios. Copied a file, backed out of Work/SDK/Scenarios and went into Work/Scenarios and pasted the copied file. Renamed it. Went into the game and found the renamed file where Matt said it should be. Selected it to play and I received the message that I couldn't play it because I hadn't played the previous scenario(s). Any ideas as to what I did wrong?

Thanks

Frustrated in Fremont (aka Jack)'

Concluded it may have to do with changing from MP to SP. But, don't know how to that. Help!

Hi Kerflumoxed

I reread LP directions and it looks like he updated his directions. I haven't tried it as of yet

See below :

"If it s a carryover scenario:
You will need to open the folder of the scenario that you copied, open the Scenario.ini, at the top of the file under the [Init] section, you will need to remove any lines that say Carryover."

Hope this helps
