Yes, I need help. My friend and I tried both the IP method and the Lobby, but failed in both. For the IP, he hosted, I typed in his IP address, I had my Norton Security firewall disabled (Windows firewall permanently disabled), and never could connect. Same thing when I tried hosting. Each time we tried it, we got the failed to connect message.
It must be something simple, but I have no idea what it is. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you are both using the latest patch. If there's a version mismatch, it won't work. Also make sure the host has his port forwarded correctly. Everything you need to know to get connected is here: http://www.norbsoftdev.com/index.php?op ... 8&id=13633
Make sure and check the section about port forwarding.
Again, I'd bet that it was a version mismatch. I saw one of these the other day. Not everyone realizes there's a version 3.1. One player was using 3.0, that's why no one could connect to him.
