giving orders on map

Post by Gunfreak »

one of the things that histwar has got right is the option to give orders on a 2d map, you can draw lines of were you want to possisons units. this makes it alot easier to control an amry then clicking on a unit and then clicking on a place on the 3d map.

this way you can make complex battle planes.

That is really nice, I agree. It's not something that I see for this version. We do want to allow the player to do all that the AI can do, which is sort of our version of what you are describing. This is an area that we need to focus more time on and I'm not sure how far it will go in this version.

Ahh-HuH, a secretive hidden AI map!....thats how those enemy units are instantaneously placed in just the right positions and usually out of nowhere in Open Play. :S

It's just the ability to assign an AI commander to take a VP or secure an area of the map. The player needs these abilities.

Ahhh..... Now that's the trick, isn't it! Let's hope we all learn well from the game AI! Because when we start playing each other, that's going to be a whole new ballgame!
