Hi.
I have a particular door that I am running which can be fully configured to anything I wish it to be, so I will be working on turning it into a Scourge of War - Gettysburg RPG for those who would be interested in playing it. It will be fully multiplayer in real time. This program seems to be something really something where configuration is concerned.
If you wish to have me add anything such as a town road, or even your name to be one of the NPC's just let me know. At the moment I will be adding Norb, and the dev team to the game as shop owners, bartenders etc.
Anyway, just thought I would ask if you folks want to add anything to the game.
When I get the game up, and running I'll let you know.
This is just my way of thanking Norb, and the Dev team for all the hard work they have put into their fine, and very addictive game.
later!
Creating a Civilwar RPG door game that will be released soon.

Hi Norb, it's great to hear from you.Sounds very cool!
It can be if I can get the text to change over into the civilwar era. I'm not all that smart when it comes to programming, but with this door the source code came with it, and the license is GNU. I'm not even sure what GNU means. There are allot of .PAS files etc, and I'm looking into changing things over to be more ACW.
The main code will stay the same of course, all I am trying to do is change the text, then recompile.
I am looking into using a FREE Pascal compiler which I did find earlier, so my question is (I'm sure this is a biggy) is a pascal compiler all I need to do this?
Here is the link for the free Pascal compiler. I know you are a very busy man Norb, any help would be appreciated.
All I need is a YES or a NO to this. I like Adukes approach when answering my questions he always is straight forward with his answers

Cheers, and thank you.

I'm not sure exactly your approach on this, but any language will do. You can even get the free express editions of the microsoft stuff. They can make simple programs very easy to write.

Hi Norb, and thanks for replying.I'm not sure exactly your approach on this, but any language will do. You can even get the free express editions of the microsoft stuff. They can make simple programs very easy to write.
Well, the files all end in .PAS which I think is short for Pascal (I could be very wrong). I can edit the text in these files to make the game look more ACW. The question I am asking is what type of program(s) would I need to compile these .PAS files into a working copy of the game? I'm not too sure if I am asking this properly or not.
Thanks again Norb!

Those are pascal files. The program you found should do the trick. You can also look for older versions of Borland's Turbo Pascal that are now freeware.
I can make this march and I will make Georgia howl.
