Great game, of course. My friends and I play 3-5 times a week, at least. We usually play against the AI, so here are some observations:
1. The AI cavalry plays much like Murat at Austerlitz, and unlike any cavalry in the Civil War. I'm speaking of the many, many cavalry charges against infantry regiments, which sometimes result in cavalry capturing regiments. For instance, I sent the 26the North Carolina, 702 men strong, into the firing line. It was there about two minutes when it was charged by cavalry and surrendered. Napoleonic, definitely.
2. On a number of the OOBs, the Confederate brigades are numbered somewhat like the Union brigades, rather than by the name of the commander. Very unusual. For instance, you click on a regiment in Pickett's Division and it might say it belongs to Pickett's 2nd. Brigade, when it should say Armistead's Brigade. Why are some of the OOBs like that?
3. Playing multiplayer I wanted to increase the agressiveness of the AI, so I customized it and placed it on Level 3, then 4, then later 5. The higher I went the LESS agressive the AI became (on MP). This has happened quite a few times....has anyone else seen anything like this?
Back to the game!
