lost key - hd crash

Game won't run. Keeps crashing. Hopefully we won't get any posts here, but if we do, we'll try to help you out. You can also post any bugs that you find here. IMPORTANT: Don't post mod related problems here!

For those that don't know,Carbonite is worth the investment. I've lost all three times at home and once at work.Lighting strikes twice and crashed once. Now at least we have a backup that is always current.

I'm an IT guy and I always ask my customers "what is your data worth" when they complain about the cost of backup. But those are businesses. Losing an invoice is not the end of the world. When you talk about pictures and videos of family, those are priceless. You can never get them back. My heart goes out to you.

PS: What are you using for backup?

i am a it guy as well :woohoo:

wasn´t easy to confess this accident my wife with my profession :) . but i was lucky to get 90 % of the pics and vids back (old backups, undelete etc.). the mp3´s are all gone, but i can live with that.

but my (last) kaspersky activation and my scourge of war activation key are lost. i got a new kaspersky activation cause i have the serial# on my laptop. for sow i sent a mail to norb. i hope he can help.

i have raid 1, (now) a external hd and backups on dvd.

a hard lesson learned. but in the end i am still lucky that i could restore the most data

'The shoemaker's children have no shoes'. My personal backup practices are pretty shoddy. I think it comes from a professional arrogance because of what I do. Fortunately I'm rudely brought back to earth enough to keep me honest. :(

Glad to hear you got most of your stuff back. :P

Hi Guys! I'm NOT a computer wiz - tractor trailer driver actually - but DO backup and have found Rebit, a dedicated backup only system, very effective. And yes SOWGB support are the best with sorting the deactivate/activate drama based on first hand experience:lol:
