Re: Antietam pack
May I ask a different question re the Antietam pack----will it be set up in such a way that its maps and OOBs will also be usable for Sandbox selected battles with the same options as currently exist with Gettysburg
Thanks
Thanks

It will probably be set up the same way that the Pipe-Creek_Maps were set up, if that's what you are asking!May I ask a different question re the Antietam pack----will it be set up in such a way that its maps and OOBs will also be usable for Sandbox selected battles with the same options as currently exist with Gettysburg

Re: Antietam pack
We haven't decided on a price yet. Stay tuned for that.
Yes, the maps and OOBs will be available for Sandbox. They will make for excellent Sandbox play.. Especially because the OOBs are setup with the Arty batteries spread out between each division. No more arty divisions/corps.

Re: Antietam pack
Yall' should charge $29.99. The amount of work that goes into making a map, (and I know) is eye bogoling[sp]. Add inflation and man hours, (at least 40+ for fences alone and another 12+ for rocks and houses). If you charge less you guys are crazy! Its basicaly a whole new game! So 40 to 50 bucks would be well worth it to the end user. We all would gladly pay it.. Tell Norb, cuz someone should, the fact that Pipe Creek was only 10 bucks is astonishing. NSD must have been drunk when yall came up with that price. I Think 50 bucks would be the ceiling and 30 would be the minimum you guys should charge for a full on release. I spend less than that on a diner every night, but these releases are a passion and last forever. If you don't know how hard it is to do this (map making) I implore you to try!!! I will send my 50 bucks tomorrow, because its worth all of that and more!

Re: Antietam pack
I think the price should be such that potential new players will be drawn in to SOW when they see that there is an antietam expansion, not driven away. The new players will do their sums on how much the whole package would cost and if it sounds too much, they will shy away.
Maybe drop the price on the core SOW game to a level which piques the interest of the masses, 10 dollars or so. Then put up Antietam as a more expensive expansion pack so you can rake in the money from the existing players and give the newbies a reasonable price for the whole set. OR make Antietam a standalone expansion like THQ has done with the dawn of war series.

NO. Just because you can afford to pay that (for food every night, as you put it) don't mean everyone else can. What the heck do you eat?So 40 to 50 bucks would be well worth it to the end user. I spend less than that on a diner every night,
Speak for yourself, please. We all would gladly pay it
I agree with this. If I saw the base game cheap and then the expansion was like 5 times as much, I would be like, HELL NO, because even though it took a lot of work it is still a break off from that original base game that was created, but it is just a different battle.I think the price should be such that potential new players will be drawn in to SOW when they see that there is an antietam expansion, not driven away

Hey, I don't supply no kind of "shine", I supply clouds of war...heh heh heh
Game price won't be expensive, nor bargain bin cheap...it'll be Just Right IMO, to help pay the SOW bills.
