Battle of Chickamauga
I know the team is getting some well deserved R&R and in this pause I'd like to make a suggestion on the next project.
You may already have this battle in mind and if you did, you wouldn't mention it until it was well along; but how about the next expansion being the Battle of Chickamuanga? The battle was important as Gettysburg, it represents the only major battle won in the west, and a ton of info is available on the battle. A very good OOB has been made(if its creator allows you to use it). If you did it I would pay the $20 price, so you will have at least one sale.
On another note, the product you provide is exceptional. You may not believe this, but I don't play many simulations. I play this one and another one that is a WW2 strategic game and that game, after being out one year now, does not compare to this one if you look at quality(it has had several problems and therefore major changes) and attention to the consumer. I will just say that that company sells a "beta" game and relies on its customers to play test. Norb puts out a good game at release and will accept input and make the minor changes needed. I can tell a big difference.

Yes. I want my money back.
Re: Battle of Chickamuanga
That surprises me. Gary Grigsby has always put out good stuff. I applaud you for playing it though. Too much info for me. I couldn't get through the tutorial.

Re: Battle of Chickamuanga
I played War in Russia for hundreds and hundreds of hours. Loved it. Deep, complex, hard to win for sure. So I was really looking forward to War in the East (basically an updated version of Grigsby's War in Russia).
But perhaps because of SOW, I never really gave it a chance. I played the Case Blue scenario all the way through but never tried anything else.
Maybe someday I'll try again.

Re: Battle of Chickamuanga
Anyone ever play Hearts of Iron? This guy I work with raves about Hearts Of Iron III. He's always trying to get me to play it. The only other hardcore strategy game I've played is AGEOD's ACW. Once I finally figured it out, it was a very fun and addictive game... Replay value is lacking though. I played both campaigns and then haven't played since.
And oh yeah, Chickamauga is one of my all time favorite battles.

Thanks for the link. WW2 Eastern Front is my favorite venue (don't tell Norb
) but I'm a tactics guy so WITE wasn't going to cut it for me. Truth is SOW is pretty much all I play anymore. Now that we're on break I'm going to start playing Skyrim. RPG's are my second love.

Re: Battle of Chickamuanga
I think it would be great to have Chickamauga as the next battle. It definitely is a very important battle and needs to be covered. It would also be great to have Missionary Ridge, an even more important battle. Would it be possible to somehow have a map with a size that would encompass Chickamauga and Missionary Ridge? They are close in location and time, and one led to the other. That would bring an element of the strategic in addition to the tactical. I would pay a new game price of $60 for that!!!
