Range change
I want to change the ranges for some of the small arms. To me, it makes not much sense that a potsdam musket should start shooting at the same range as an 1861 Springfield (just an example). So how would I do that? Would I use the munitions.csv thing? Also, should I copy and download and back them up before I do that?
Also I tried to edit the ranges using the edit function of the csv folder and save but it did not work, all the base ranges are still 160. Why is that?

Re: Range change
I belive the Rifles.csv is what you seek. I have been playing with 250 yrds rifles awhile now, theres still a quirk doing it that way in that it still seems funny that an enfield firing at 250yrds is still shooting at very long range.

Re: Range change
I said I messed with the .csv already. It won't work, even when I use the edit function on the folder. It saves the range changes in the folder but doesn't reflect it in the game. Every unit I click on has open fire range of 160Also I tried to edit the ranges using the edit function of the csv folder and save but it did not work, all the base ranges are still 160. Why is that?

Re: Range change
Hmmm.... not sure then, you try rt clicking on the rifles.csv file and checking the security settings  or log on as admin. Other than that you be tring to run two rifles.csv files.

Re: Range change
I moved the security settings to involve all users (me) and still did not work.

Re: Range change
Probably have the mod structure wrong, check out my MP Toolbar with Musket range 200, this will show you the folder and file structure with the rifles.csv included...

Re: Range change
I don't want to do that exactly, what I want to do is adjust the range for individual weapons, like make the Springfield and Enfields 170, the older era muskets around 120, the carbines around 90, stuff like that. For the singleplayer

Re: Range change
Works exactly the same for single player, just developed for MP play.

Re: Range change
So would I just put it in the mod folder, change, and enable them?

Re: Range change
Okay, I installed it, changed some ranges, and the game seems to work. But when I try to move an officer or a unit, it crashes. Why?
