Buttons Rock not responsive

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Buttons Rock not responsive

Post by kaplan71 »

Hello --

I have the DVD version of Gettysburg, and I recently installed the 1.4 patch. Along with that I have installed various mods including the Antietam maps. I am trying to play any of the new as well as old
scenarios, and for some reason, when the game starts, the button rock does not respond whenever I click on it. For that matter, it appears some of the buttons are blacked out, and are otherwise inaccessible. I can't do anything except sit there and watch whatever happens on-screen.

Does anyone have an idea as to what is the cause here, and how it can be fixed? At this point, the only thing that I can think of is to completely uninstall the game, and then reinstall it. I hope it does not come to that.

For the record, whenever I click on the User Scenarios on the Single Player screen, the game hangs, and I have to use Task Manager to kill it.

What happens if you disable all of the Mods and Play the game?

The only true logic is that, there is no true logic!

Hello --

If all mods are disabled, then the button rock is responsive. Is it a question at this point of turning each mod on, and repeating the process until the problem recurs?

Yes kaplan71 ,

Turn one 1 Mod at a time to find the one that is causing the problem and disable that one..

I believe I found the problem mod. It appears to be the Bugles and Flags V.05 mod. Is there a newer one available that works with the 1.4 patch?
