Difficulty levels

Post by mantrain »

Hello,
is there any information about the various difficulty levels available somewhere? I couldn't find much in the manual. moreover, I like the idea of HITS, but I am not that high level of a player yet. I noticed for example in the Grognard level, the map was blank -- which does not make sense to me bc any grognard would make as much use of a map as possible. thanks!

as i mentioned in the other post i dont have a link, but try and press the ? in the options menu. It has an ingame explanation of most options.

I thought the manual explained things well, but ill check it later.

and there are different map settings, if you try and play as custom you can set them to what you like. all units shown, all over 700 yards, all in sight, friendly only or something like that. The highes level is no units shown, as that is most realistic.

Yes, check the in help screens and the manual. The Grog level is missing all map info because it tries to make things as realistic (and difficult) as possible. In the civil war, Generals did not have little moving map icons to guide them. :)

Are you sure about that, I'm going to have to Google that to verify!

The only true logic is that, there is no true logic!

Well I'm not positive.. But I'm making an educated guess based on the lack of electrical devices during those days. Let me know what you find out after you Google it! :P
