I’m not too sure about how to answer this question, but I’ll try!

First, I have absolutely no idea about any modding guide, so I’ll skip over that one.

Now, modding is nothing more than changing the default game by altering the existing csv files.

The csv files are nothing more than a sort of text file, which stands for comma, separated, values .

To my knowledge there has never been a sort of guide to go by, a modder will just about alter anything that they don’t like about the game, or change something from one thing to another thing.

For every hundred members on the forum there are probably about five that would ever attempt to mod the game.

So, after saying that, if you do choose to alter the game first learn about what each file that you plan on changing actually does.

Then, learn about which files works closely with that particular file, since some of the csv files require that you change not only that file, but other files to get the mod to work correctly.

It’s better to start small by altering an existing mod, considering that that mod would already be in the correct file-structure – meaning that it would probably be contained within folders.

After that, learn how to keep banging your head against the wall when nothing seems to be going right, and by not getting frustrated or upset.

Try to figure things out on your own, and if that doesn’t work, just post the problem on the board, someone will step in and guide you in the right direction.

But, as far as modding the game goes, I can’t really point to one person that knows anymore about modding than anyone else.
