I'm not sure what you mean by games. Other games? Currently you can bring up a command console by pressing the "`" key in game. This way you can launch battle script commands etc. from in the game.
Hi Little Powell.
No, sorry I didn't explain it right my fault. I'm not all that well today so forgive me if I fumble my example.
Many games can be launched by using command line parameters so that third party utils can be used such as a scenario editor, or map editor etc.
Example: I just started to create a full scenario using a third party util, and I want to test out the scenario. I would say select test scenario, and the third party scenario editor would then launch SOWgb with the map, scenario (I'm wishing to test), and anything else that I can edit with the program.
Example: E:\NorbSoftDev\Scourge of War - Gettysburg\SOWgb.exe -map=gettysburg -mod=test etc, etc.
This way third party utils can be used to either edit new scenarios, create new maps, or better yet have the ability to play a full length Career/Campaign all from other programs people make instead of having to create a mod, start SOW, and select the mods you need to use, and play.
The use of the Command line feature would help people who can program make some pretty cool things for SOWgb such a SOWgb game launcher (select the map or if you wish to play SP or MP, etc etc).
I know I keep asking for this, but I see this as a real benefit down the road.
If I explained this all wrong forgive me, my head is a bit muddled at the moment.
