For those who already have an X-Fire account, cool, if you do not, get one, it's free.
Okay, how to add a game that isn't even included yet. Find your way to your X-Fire directory, and the directory I mean can be found (if using Windows 7 or 8) at <drive letter>:\Users\All Users\Xfire.
Open up the file "xfire_games.ini" with your eidtor. For most the default will be Notepad.
Scroll down to the very bottom, and you will see something like this...
So, it says 7822_2 in the above title, you have to make a new one in the series, like 7822_3 or better yet just do what I did for adding the Omerta game below.[7822_2]
LongName=Football Challenge 10
ShortName=fc10
LauncherDirKey=HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Greentube\fc10-PL_TVP_MAIN\InstallPath
LauncherExe=Updater.exe
DetectExe=Game.exe
Launch=%UA_LAUNCHER_EXE_PATH% %UA_LAUNCHER_EXTRA_ARGS%
InGameRenderer=D3D9
InGameFlags=USE_PRESENT|ENABLE_MOUSE|USE_DINPUT_MOUSE|USE_DINPUT1
I decided to just create a new series instead of adding it to the 7822_2 number.[7823]
LongName=Omerta City of Gangsters
ShortName=gzdm
LauncherExe=omerta.exe
Launch=%UA_LAUNCHER_EXE_PATH% %UA_LAUNCHER_EXTRA_ARGS% %UA_LAUNCHER_NETWORK_ARGS%
InGameRenderer=D3D9
InGameFlags=USE_PRESENT|ENABLE_MOUSE|USE_DINPUT_MOUSE|USE_DINPUT1
Note: I left the short name gzdm alone because that is a game called gzdoom, and since I want to be able to upload videos, save screenshots, and I don't use X-fire for my Doom game, I just left it alone.
Now that you have added a new game, start X-Fire. Now select Detect Games (it won't find the game). Now in X-fire scroll down to Games Not Installed, and click on it, and you will see a list of games not yet installed on your computer.
Search for Omerta.
Select it, and on your right you will see parameter settings. Now on your right select manual detect. Now browse to where you installed the Omerta game, and select the Omerta.exe, select apply, and you should now see it in your games list and you can now launch the game, chat in the game, broadcast the game live etc, etc.
Special Note: Two things I forgot to mention, and are helpful. First if the game for some reason disappears, just select detect games, and it will show up again. Secondly, to make sure that X-Fire doesn't overwrite the "xfire_games.ini" you can either set it too read-only, or create a backup of it.
I'll get into how to keep what you have in X-fire, and keep the versions correct later...
