Cheers!

Known for this game for awhile but never had a chance to play it. I Owned "Take Command: 1st Manassas" awhile back but played awful on my PC. After some years and a few upgrades later i bumped into that scratched up CD which wouldn't install and thought "OOooo! i need to play something that brings me back to my own reenactments days!" Then i remembered this beauty and better yet, when i looked it up it was on Sale! So after some hours of playing and reading the forums and grabbing some mods, i sit myself here and ask "Why did i wait so long?" This game brings an experience that i can't really relate to anything other of its kind. Still learning the curves though, but let me tell yeah playing at Division levels or Brigades and Sending out Couriers to send messages out to other Commanders in this "HITS" mode and hoping they get there on time is a Hoot! I've had some frustrating disappointments and some REAL relieving moments (Damn near jumping out of my seat screaming "Huzzah!" to an approaching friendly brigade Flag to come help me in the distance) playing just a few scenarios of the campaign. GREAT JOB! i absolutely intend on getting these expansions as i complete one and cannot wait for Waterloo! Some games like (Empire:Total War & Napoleon: Total War) may have graphics...but this has experience, tactics, immersion, research, etc...that any real strategy gamer can't find much of nowadays...BLAH! i'll end my spat for i want to go and play some more! CHEERS!

Thanks for your generous and supportive words - if you like playing with HITS and couriers try an MP game with our group (link in my sig). In MP the experience is all the more intense.

Also - welcome to the forums!

War is cruelty. There is no use trying to reform it. The crueler it is, the sooner it will be over.
