Where's Wally?

Post by Grog »

The attachment screen0001.jpg is no longer available

Came across these suspicious looking soldiers whilst patrolling my Prussian Hussars, recently. They claimed to be Americans and said that they had been stood there for several months next to these strange boards, for what reason they did not know. Utterly odd fellows, indeed, but you have to admire their devotion to duty. :)

Reminds me of a well known childrens book, here in UK- Where's Wally? (Waldo in US/Canada)

Where is Wally (and Wally2)? (No NSD please) ;)

Sir, my brigade was campaigning somewhere in Spain but these guys we came across were convinced they were in northern America in the 1860's! They said they were Pennsylvanians.

They described a great and bloody battle and were indeed still shaken, having been routed from an intense firefight.

They mentioned advancing into a wood, close to a small church and being surprised by 'rebels' that gave 'jerky, canine cries' which caused panick amongst the rookie troops. They were concerned what might have become of their commanding officer, Colonel Higgins...... ;)

Trust a modder to spoil a perfectly good battlefield mystery yarn with the line " Im trying to remember when those fences first came out"

Bravo sir, but where on the battlefield did these unfortunate recruits undergo their baptism of fire? B)

Grog - I just now searched the four Antietam Maps that I have and didn't find Wally .

But, when the Patch came out some of us didn't update the Antietam Maps, so which one of the four has Wally ?

Dav,

Its Antietam1-PM(I think). Above Hoffman not far from the river, I seem to recall.

I think I have an updated Antietam install.

Good luck with your modding, bud. Keep pushing them boundries

Grog - OK, if you have an updated one that's good news. I was going to suggest using a HexEditor to fix the problem, or I could have fixed it and sent it to you via EMail.

Good Find either way!
