All,
I know I've asked this before, but several searchs have not revealed the answer. I'm trying to open .dds files on a comp running windowsXP Pro. What is the best FREE program to run to open these files? Thanks.

Typing from cell phone so disregard any errors.
If you are just trying to view the dds files you can download a program
called Irfanview.
If you are trying to edit those dds files try Gimp2, or Gimp.
Gimp2 is basically a free version of something on the level of
Photoshop.
Reb-uses a program called Paintnet that I have never tried, but I used
the Gimp2 on the previous game.

The only true logic is that, there is no true logic!

Awesome gentlemen! Paintnet is what I use on my more advanced comp, which is not where I am at the monemt. I'll try InFanview also. Thanks.

Yep Paint.net is a good choice I used this for reskinning the sprites in the old game B)

...and, of course, Paintnet is too upgraded for my comp. LOL! So I grabbed IrFanview. It works great. Yes, I'm just looking, not editing.
Thanks again.
