Am hugely looking forward to this...

All things ACW have a certain appeal I know but for tactics and more tactics Napoleonic wins the day. By the time of ACW the reliability of muskets/rifles had just passed the tipping point where they dominated too much.

Could be very close, FCs can sometimes go live very quickly ..

I don't think you will be disappointed.

The strongest recommendation I can give is that after the gruelling 6 months leading to the RC I have still spent every evening post-RC playing Waterloo!

As one of the playtesters and designated fort gurus for the game, I can say I play daily still. Just wish I could add the smell of the powder smoke to the game for total immersion. All of you will be very pleased with what we have done.

FCs can sometimes go live very quickly

not so sure, given that a publisher is involved. Normally there will be a promotional period leading up to release, and we haven't heard a squeak out of Matrix. Not to mention creation of physical content, dvd and manual etc.
