Any option of reducing the FPS in the menu?

Post by Cougar_DK »

Hi

I have between 4000-6000 FPS in the main menu and my GPU start making noises because of the "stress". When I enter the 3D world I'm back to around 30 FPS.

Forcing vsync in my Nvidia driver control panel does not help. Running windowed or full screen does not help either.
I'm running Windows 8.1 and have added the Windows 7 compatibility setting.

My DxDiag: www.twins4ever.dk/DxDiag/DxDiag.txt

Would it be possible to add a vsync setting or the like to the game?

Thanks in advance.

My machine does this as well, as it does with most heavyweight games. We will look into vsync though.

Good to hear. I play a lot of other games, but have always vsync on - no need to stress the card. And the sound my make is very scary :P

Looking forward to what you plan to do.

Cheers

VSync is pointless if applied to frame rates that are slower than your monitor refresh rate.

You'll never experience tearing in that case...

We need a FPS boost first.

EDIT: This refers to the 3D simulation at least, I did not have considered menus. Sry.

I was wondering why I heard extra effort from my video card during the menus...

Hopefully a fix is coming.
