Updated Matrix version crashes in Windows 10 Home edition x64 version 1511.

- recently clean (not upgrade) installed win10 home x64 v1511 (all drivers updated to latest win10 versions, eg sound & video)
- clean installed matrix Waterloo v 1.00
- patched v10006A
- then patched v10043

First off, error message appeared saying D3Dx9_43.dll was missing.

- found that and copied into root dir of game

- Upon loading a scenario game windows message appears stating the game has stopped working.

i have checked that the sowwl.exe file has been set by the installer to win 7 compatibility.

log:

Download the directx 9,10,11 from here http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... px?id=8109 and install them again. DOn't worry this leave the directx12 untouched, but should correct the problem.

Sorry Mitra, I don't know what you are referring to.

1)Which specific files from that website link do I need to download to fix this update?

2)Where do I download them to once I find them? Some Waterloo game folder or somewhere else?

3)Once downloaded, where specifically do I extract the information to?

The link Mitra gave goes straight to a file, simply d/l it to your desktop, then run it. Its a windows Dx10 file so Windows will store it where it needs it.

Its not a file that has anything to do with NSDs game.

My game is now very laggy like it was when the game first came out. Driect x DL made it not freeze up but performance is terrible now.

WebRoot Issue? Saw your posts on the Matrix board. Maybe your antivirus settings need to be reset for the patch.

@RedBugler thanks man that's probably it. I forgot all about webroot.

My game is still crashing.

When I select the link that Mitra suggests the file downloads to my desktop:

"Directx June 2010 SDK"

"Please type the location where you want to place the extracted files."

No default directory is listed.

When I download the file contents the game still crashes.
