System Specs
Re:System Specs
I'm not sure how to add new emoticons. I don't believe that I added it to MMG either, not sure who did.

When talking to these companies, they questioned what I "exactly" was looking for in a video card, stating that they can run from 50 bucks to a grand! After picking myself back up off the floor, I said that I really could not answer that question. Would anyone have a more concrete suggestion? Norb said the "best video card (PCI Express) you can afford."
For example, would this be a good choice: BFG GeForce GTX 285 OC Video Card - 1GB GDDR3, PCI Express 2.0, SLI Ready, Dual DVI? Cost is circa 300.00. (I randomly selected this one from 6 pages of cards on http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications ... =0&Recs=10. :S
Thanks for any suggestions.

Thats an awesome card. I don't know much about BFG, but if it's a gig that thing will scream. You could even go a little lower than that and still get a great card, but again, it's whatever you can afford. The more $, the faster/better the card and the longer it'll be before you have to upgrade again.estabu2 wrote:With this thought in mind, am stopping by a couple of "builders" in Omaha this Weds. with the specs and suggestions that all of you have made. Re:System Specs
That is probably in the top 5 best cards available right now. Any of the NVidia 260 - 295 series cards are very good. I don't know if you are a real "heavy" gamer, if you are not I would suggest going with the NVidia 260, it has a good bang for your buck and is not too expensive. Unless you play on a HUGE screen, then you might want to step up to a higher series.

Thanks, fellows! Will probably go with the larger one. The last thing I want to be doing is "upgrading" for a while. I'm getting tired of teaching the mental midgets at the community college!
Although the ROP is pretty good.

Re: System Specs
Yes it does work. We have tested on 7, with Vista. No, it will not take advantage of any 64 bit features. Who do you think we are, EA?

System Specs
Take Command 1st and 2nd Manassas is better than any game I have ever seen published by EA!
I just purchased a new PC with Windows 7, quad processors, a dedicated 1Gb video card, blah, blah in anticipation of you all releasing Scourge of War.
Can't wait to see it!
