Speaking of....Hey Kerflumoxed, would you know of a specific book in which the Lincoln quote is mentioned? I've looked in the books I have, and even tried cross-referencing the quote on the internet, but so far, no luck.

The reason I ask, is because I'm writing a book review for history class and that quote would be a lovely touch in my closing paragraph, but my professor will want me to cite the source. And I'm not allowed to use the Ken Burns documentary as a source.


And I don't think listing the Forum as a source, will work for her either. :woohoo:

I felt that the secondary sourcing I provided was inadequate and have done a little further research. According to this website, A. Lincoln's secretary saved this piece of a document entitled the Meditation on the Devine Will.
