Starting Small

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Finally got it to work, great fun.

I know this change affects it globally, I am wondering what I may have to edit so it checks agains't the health of my character so it would only affect it at that moment in time?

I only want this option when the commander dies.

Addition:
------------

I've been taking a look into a file called 'battlescript.csv', and I have noticed that there is a 'evtdeath' call that is made for particular commanders, am I looking in the right direction?

Instead of having an IDName of a particular (oob)commander, is there a call just for the player himself, no matter who he may pick to command?

I don't know if I am explaining this correctly.

If you are designing a scenario, you must specify who the player commander is in the scenario.ini file. If you have the evtdeath command in the battlescript.csv the scenario will end if your player commander is killed. This does not apply to any other commander that you may have selected while you are playing the game. To have the scenario end if the player you have selected dies would require a change in coding.
