Re:Crash report
I have read with interest this problem people seem to have with AVG, I use Avg always have, My Avg is on all the time, I even download files and stuff, every thing I run even Sow never has a problem with Avg.
Would the problem be with Windows Defender? this defender program pops up from time time

To make an exception in the FireWall for the game,
Go to Control Panel --> Windows Firewall--> Allow A Program Through Windows Firewall --> scroll down to 'Scourge Of War - Gettysburg'. Click on the box and this will put a checkmark in it to allow access.
I have Vista OS, so it might be a little different getting to your Firewall Applications, but same program name.

Zeno,I just got some in-person technical help. What he says is that this is a firewall problem and I have to make an exception for the program that accesses the internet for SOWG. What program is this? You are right though. It is AVG that is causing this.

Same here, I have AVG 9.0 running all of the time when I am playing. I also have WebRoot AntiVirus with SpySweeper, but there is a Gamer Mode option that I turn on, for 4 hours as it temporarily prevents the program from interrupting games by turning off most of the Shields and Alerts. At the 4 hour mark, if I forget, the program automatically turns the Shields back on.

Re:Crash report
Did you install the game to the default directory (C:\NorbSoftDev\Scourge of War)?
What happens if you run the game as an admin?

Once it's unlocked, I suggest starting from scratch. Delete all NSD directories and files form your hard drive. Then re-install.
Zeno - You haven't lost your activation for good. Your code can be unlocked.Ok I might have found the source of the problem, but this would really piss me off if it was. Well, just cuz, I checked the status of my activation code. It said:
Allowable activations: 1
Remaining activations: 0
My worry is that my game is deactivated, and cannot be reactivated and I am installing an unactivated game. So basically I lost my ownership of the game. Now I didn't mean to install it into any seperate folder. In fact I don't see any other folder I installed it to. But I pray this is not the reason. It cost like $50. Now that would be a piece of crap if I lost it all right?

Yes go ahead and delete it. It'll be best to completely start from scratch just in case there's a bad file somewhere or something.K the activation code is sent. Should I just deleate the Norbsoft folder now?

Zeno,
Have you ever gotten the game to run? If you have, can you remember what changes you made that stopped it from running?
