lost key - hd crash

Game won't run. Keeps crashing. Hopefully we won't get any posts here, but if we do, we'll try to help you out. You can also post any bugs that you find here. IMPORTANT: Don't post mod related problems here!

got my activation key

what do i have to do to activate my new install?
how do i deactivate my old (lost) install?

Just run your new install and use the new key. If you got the new one from NSD then they've deactivated your old one.

i guess they didnt activate the old one.
when i try to activate my new copy, i get a message that this code is activated

Sorry to hear that. So let me understand this. You got a new code from Tech Support, you ran your new installation, you entered your new code and it said it's already activated? Was the activation code blank when you launched your new install? If not did you enter your new code in it's place?

i guess they sent me my original activation code. my game was activated when my system crashed.

That's no good. Even if they sent you your original code they should have deactivated it. All I can do is have you contact Tech Support again. Make sure you contact them through the support site at:

Explain the issue to them in detail and they'll have you up and running in no time.
