SR1 Fictional RoundTops

Post by Davinci »

This is basically a fictional map with an extended portion of the roundtops.

Switching Maps - fictional map based on one of the Pipe Creek Maps!

A very interesting texture. It looks like a giant lava field. It could be the battle for Mt. St. Helen's
I can make this march and I will make Georgia howl.

I like the rocky texture you made. It looks great. your creek bed looks good too. You need to send me those.

Yeah, but I have bigger problems than the Roswell Moon Landing terrain, that’s changeable, I’m still trying to figure out a way of putting real-world terrain in the game.

I have to figure out a way of getting the men to not stand inside of the rocks, perhaps if I peppered the terrain with small hills and then placed the rocks over those hills.

The men would appear to be standing on the rocks, but the game would still read the height of the small hills…..might be possible…..

Hey J – I didn’t make this one, you have the graphics file inside of the PR directories, not sure which directory…..but it is one of the default files.

What about this one - is it too blurry?

2nd_Texas and Crikey - I'm experimenting with trying to get the ground terrain to resemble this up-close, and also away from the camera.

If I can figure this out, I'll send both of you the files if you want.
The attachment ground1a.jpg is no longer available
The attachment ground1b.jpg is no longer available
Thanks, RebBugler ...I'm not there yet, but still trying to get there!

Those are cool ground textures indeed. Usually when you zoom into the ground, it gets a little blurry. Those don't lose quality hardly at all. :)
