Advice wanted on buying new PC in UK

Here you can talk about whatever floats your boat. Your favorite movie, sports team, etc. If it's a little racey, I suggest you post in R&R, otherwise we'll move it for you.

I'd like some feedback myself as I may have to get a new puter. On the Dell site I can get a XPS 8500 Windows 7 etc for $729.

http://www.dell.com/us/p/desktops#!face ... 406795&p=1

As you can see 8Gb of Ram 1T hard drive, 3rd Generation Intel® Core™ i5-3350P processor (6M Cache, up to 3.10 GHz). The only problem is that it comes with a NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 640 1GB GDDR5. MicroCenter has the 660 for $200 ( on sale one more day). That means I would be out of pocket $929.00

Looks good to me....any ideas........................

Just going off what you wrote, sounds like a decent box for the price.

For $929 you could put together an i7, (bigger cache = faster processing & 8 threads vs 4), machine. Or an i5-3470 3.6Ghz would be easily doable. Including the case there are only 9 pieces to assemble if the power supply is separate.
I can make this march and I will make Georgia howl.
