Uniform Mods

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Uniform Mods

Post by deatone »

I'm new to the series and need some help. Where can I find the files for changing the uniforms and which ones are recommended? I have looked through this forum but can't seem to find them. I did download Grey Mod 5 but it won't work. I am using the latest download from Matrix and have Antietam and Pipe Creek as well. Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated.

Here is your starting point:

The SDK has everything you need to know to mod the game, including uniforms/troop sprites.

Thanks. I am not really competent or maybe I should say proficient in modding. I meant to ask where there uniform mods done by others? I see lots of uniform mods in various screen shots on this site and others but haven't been able to find them.

D,

It would help if you could specify which uniform mods you are looking for OR what you are actually trying to accomplish. I'm sure we can help, but we need more information.

Thanks, I want the Confederates to look more ragged and less uniform.

Okay, what "Uniform" setting are you currently on in "Options?" That may make a difference.

@deatone - Hey, do you still have the GreyMod5 on your Computer?

If you do, I can probably get it to work by having you update the csv files.

Yeah its a common misconception that the uniforms are as good as they can get by default. The default uniform setting is high which is high res but minimal/plain uniforms. You will want to change the uniforms to best to get the full uniform variations.

It's a shame because it really should be on Best by default.

The setting was high so I switched to medium and now the Grey Mod works. Thanks.

The grey mod 5 works but after a while the game stops working. Are there other mods that change the confederate uniforms?
